Choosing a standard for your inspection project
Is a testing method standard the same as an acceptance standard?
No. A method standard describes how an examination is performed; an acceptance reference sets the criteria used to assess results. For film radiography of welds, check both the specified technique reference and the specified acceptance reference.
Does a listed standard certify a YESNDT product?
No. Confirm the required film system, dimensions, screens, processing conditions and supporting manufacturer documents for the particular product and order.
